Pete Moss (a.k.a. Peter Demakos) is an award winning children's musician who connects people of all ages with the natural world. Drawing inspiration from Eastern North American birds, plants and weather, Pete’s songs inspire empathy, wonder and affection toward living things.

Pete’s albums Plants Rock (2019) and Birds Rock (2021) are grounded in the principle that building positive relationships between young people and local environments encourages future stewardship. His work aims to shine a light on everyday living things often overlooked in the children’s songbook. Red Winged Blackbirds, Milkweed plants and Juncos are brought to life through joyous, catchy, often emotionally impactful songs.

As a children’s musician, Pete performs at schools, libraries, provincial parks, music festivals and birthday parties across Ontario. Pete also works as a child and adolescent therapist candidate in his hometown of Toronto.
